As a rural Nova Scotian artist, John Musick and his work focuses on the daily lives of the working class, family dynamics, and the complicated nature of nostalgia. He brings these ideas to life through photographic techniques using large-format photography, book production, and darkroom processes. With more formal previous education from Nova Scotia Community College, Musick brings forward a traditional yet still experimental approach to his work within his journey at NSCAD University. Musick has experience in both commercial and fine art environments, and is working towards a long-term goal of becoming a renowned photographer
